 Panthers RB McCaffrey says to stop training too much


Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rule said he "can't wait to attack" in his second season in the NFL, which begins with offseason work. However, the star running back (RB) might be better off venting his anger in his own training.

RB Christian McCaffrey himself admitted the same thing on Monday, the 4th, after finishing the season with only three appearances. McCaffrey, who was placed on the IR list with an ankle injury early in the season, returned in Week 9 but suffered a shoulder injury in a game against the Kansas City Chiefs. And just before making his comeback again, he injured his quadriceps and ultimately sat out until the end of the season.




A streak of injuries this season has forced McCaffrey to rethink how he prepares for the season. In fact, fewer RBs are used to doing just about everything for their teams, including grueling offseason training.

"It's a bit of a challenge each year to figure out the perfect way to build a season-challenging car," McCaffrey told the team's official website.

"That's my goal for this offseason To prepare in the best possible way. Sometimes it's resting, sometimes it's not training."

"Sometimes you're your own worst enemy. That's one of the things I've learned. Just be healthy. Sometimes too much is not good."

Overtraining is very possible, but it can be hard for some professional athletes to understand early in their NFL careers. Got there by self-training and bullying. why should i change that?

The answer is player life. The NFL's 17-week schedule is a marathon race, where the best players are sometimes selected based on availability rather than final performance. Those who know their bodies better than others can put together the best training and self-care programs for this marathon.

A year after doubling over 1,000 yards (over 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards) and doing everything for the Panthers, McCaffrey didn't play in many games. After trying to speed things up in 2019-2020, it might be a good idea to step into 2021 with a little gas. Apparently, he got that realization at just the right time.
